Areas of research interest include the history and theory of site-specific practices, sound art, spatial and contextual art practices; sonic cultures; listening and subjectivity; voice, paralinguistic behavior and the choreography of the mouth; history and theory of installation strategies, experimental architectures, and spatial urbanism; contemporary politics and questions of collectivity (the commons); aesthetics and politics of invisibility (haunting, immateriality, counter-politics); and male identity and the clownesque.
